Job summary

Griffith Company seeks a Site Safety Manager for a Caltrans project on Route 805. This night shift role requires leading safety on site, coordinating with the Project Manager and Superintendent to establish a strong safety culture aligned with company values.

Qualified candidates will have 10+ years in heavy construction, OSHA 30, and experience training across disciplines. Griffith Company offers ESOP, generous time off, and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of heavy construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years of safety experience in construction industry.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction certification (valid, unexpired).
• OSHA 10 Hour and 30 Hour Outreach Instructor required.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety orientation and training.
• Enforce safety standards according to IIPP.
• Coordinate subcontractor safety compliance and inspections.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective action.
• Maintain OSHA/Cal-OSHA postings and safety documentation.
• Lead site safety audits and night-shift safety operations.
