Job summary

Precision Aero Company is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for the night shift to produce aerospace components. The role requires hands-on lathe setup, precision turning, and adherence to blueprints and quality standards. Pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, plus a 10% night-shift differential.

The position runs Monday through Thursday, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with overtime as production demands require.

Qualifications

• Prior CNC lathe machining experience, including machine setup.
• Read blueprints, GD&T, gages, and work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills, including decimal calculations.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
• Dependability, regular attendance, and ability to work with coworkers and leadership.
• Availability to work overtime, which may be substantial during peak production.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate horizontal CNC lathes to produce precision parts to spec.
• Perform turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading operations.
• Read blueprints and work instructions to determine tooling needs and sequence.
• Maintain tolerances and surface finishes to meet quality standards.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Identify machining issues and contribute to process improvements.
• Meet quality and productivity standards while following safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist as needed.
