Job summary

Arizona Department of Veterans' Services is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant for the night shift at the Arizona State Veterans' Home in Phoenix. The role includes 12-hour shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

with every other weekend off, and a competitive hourly salary depending on experience. Responsibilities include direct patient care, assisting with ADLs, documenting in medical records, and supporting nurses.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of para-professional nursing care and safety procedures.
• Skills in verbal and written communication and record keeping.
• Ability to use basic medical equipment and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterans/Members with transfers, ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and other ADLs.
• Monitor vital signs and basic medical parameters; document findings.
• Provide patient-centered care and respond promptly to requests.
