Job summary

Valley Health System's Orthopaedics department is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Aide for a full-time night shift. Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, the CNA performs routine personal care for patients, maintains a safe environment, and reports problems. Once experienced, may act as a preceptor for new CNAs.

Education includes a high school diploma preferred, CNA certification is required, and BLS certification is required prior to orientation completion. Benefits described in detail.

Qualifications

• Must understand basic principles of human growth and development.
• Interact competently with patients according to their age.
• Reliable phone communication with hospital.
• Annual flu vaccination required for Long-Term Care clinical areas.
• Registry as CNA required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine personal care for patients under supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment and report problems.
• Support mission of Winchester Rehabilitation Center and Winchester Medical Center.
• May act as a preceptor in orientation of new CNAs.
