Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan is seeking a Nursing Assistant stepping into Certified Nursing Assistant on a full-time night shift with a $3,600 sign-on bonus. You will provide essential resident care, assist with activities of daily living, and support nursing staff.

The role requires CNA credentials or state-approved training with certification within the specified timeframe, CPR/BLS, and adherence to vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the State of Michigan, or completion of a State-approved training program with certification within 4 months of hire.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Must have no disciplinary action in effect against certification.
• Munson Healthcare requires vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella, and flu vaccine or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive services to nurses and other staff as needed.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living per care plans and procedures.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents.
• Coordinates dining room services at meals, including setup, delivery, and documentation of intake.
• Delivers nutritional supplements and monitors intake.
• Records resident weight changes and reports to nurse/supervisor.
• Monitors skin condition and reports concerns to nurse/supervisor.
• Assists with toileting program activities.
• Completes flow sheets and documents progress as directed.
• Keeps nurse informed of factors affecting task completion.
• Reports changes in resident condition to nurse/supervisor.
