Job summary

Qualifications

• Education and Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant II certification required.
• Current Nursing Assistant II registration with NC Board of Nursing required and Nursing Assistant I with the Division of Facility Services required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission of patients to the unit and orientation to the unit.
• Respond to patient needs with direct assistance or report to the appropriate person.
• Assist with nursing care plan by carrying out delegated tasks.
• Maintain a safe, well-stocked patient environment.
• Participate in cost containment and accurate charging for patient services.
• Assist with educational and Performance Improvement activities.
• Perform skills such as phlebotomy, 12 lead EKG, waived lab testing per unit competency.
• Contribute to patient throughput and HIP initiatives.
