Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide patient care under RN/LPN supervision. The role supports daily living activities and maintains a safe, clean environment.

The position requires observation for at-risk patients, vitals, glucose testing, and safe transport. CPR certification is required, with CPR/BLS within 30 days if not current. Hiring range is described with potential signing bonus; hourly schedule-based pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification; CPR/BLS within 30 days if not certified.
• One year of nursing assistant experience.
• Completion of a nursing assistant training program.
• Current nursing assistant certification (CNA).
• Participation in the MRMC nursing assistant training program.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant observation for patients at risk for injury.
• Obtain and report vital signs, pulse oximetry, and non-invasive blood pressure.
• Perform blood glucose testing and EKGs as indicated.
• Provide safe patient transportation and report changes in condition or behavior.
• Record intake, output, height, weight, and vitals in the EMR.
