Actalent is seeking a highly experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist for a contract role in San Bernardino, CA. The position requires leadership across blood bank, chemistry, and hematology benches, with night shift rotations and strict adherence to QA/QC standards.

The ideal candidate holds an active CLS license, BLS certification, and at least 12 years in a hospital laboratory, able to interpret complex results and communicate clearly with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Active National Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• At least 12 years of CLS hospital experience preferred, in large acute care settings.
• Experience across blood bank, chemistry, and hematology benches preferred.
• Strong hematology and blood bank skills with antibody identification experience.
• Proven troubleshooting in QC and instrument maintenance.
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends.
• Detail-oriented with accurate specimen verification and documentation.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of laboratory testing with accuracy.
• Analyze results across pediatric to geriatric populations and report to providers.
• Maintain quality control, QA, and instrument maintenance per policy.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and instrument codes.
• Collaborate with CLS, lab assistants, and bench lead to ensure workflow.
