Job summary

The Clinical Staff Leader (CSL) at MUHA, reporting to the Nurse Manager, serves as the shift nurse leader providing operational oversight and staff supervision to ensure optimal, evidence-based patient care. The CSL collaborates with nursing leadership to meet department goals and promote a Shared Governance structure.

This role includes leadership presence and staff support with coverage for at least one holiday per year and two weekend shifts every six weeks, or an equivalent schedule of three

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in nursing; enrolled in BSN program with one year RN experience.
• Nursing certification in a specialty area preferred.
• CSL competency-based training required within designated time period.
• Extensive knowledge of patient population, health care trends, and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift leadership as the department nurse leader with operational oversight.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with nursing leadership to meet evidence-based care goals.
• Support Shared Governance and leadership presence on the unit.
• Provide coverage for minimum 1 holiday per year and 2 weekend shifts every 6 weeks (or equivalent).
