Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's Clay County in Middelburg, FL.

The role involves 4x10s shifts (8:00 PM–6:00 AM) with every other weekend, performing routine and complex testing, and ensuring accuracy of results in a high-volume lab environment. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or Medical Technology, 1 year of lab testing experience or an MLS degree, and FL MT license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• FL Medical Technologist (MT) License.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
