Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to support laboratory services across the hospital. The role requires CA CLS Generalist or equivalent CA Public Health licenses in the department, with ASCP preferred.

The position involves analytical testing, equipment management and quality assurance within a busy clinical lab. You will perform pre-analytical and analytical procedures, document results, supervise technicians as needed and participate in policy updates.

Qualifications

• CA CLS or CLS specialty license required by CA Public Health
• Licenses must be in the department’s assigned area and ASCP preferred

Responsibilities

• Analytical testing procedures with adherence to policies and procedures.
• Document activities and results thoroughly and legibly to ensure accuracy.
• Evaluate data for accuracy and investigate questionable findings.
• Perform pre-analytical and analytical procedures with consideration of patient factors.
• Provide training, competency assessment and supervision as needed.
