Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Clinical Care Technician to join the Post Intensive Care Unit-II in New Brunswick. This part-time night shift role supports Registered Nurses with vital signs, mobility and personal care, while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Excellent teamwork, empathy and communication are essential. You will also assist with EKGs, phlebotomy, infection control, and accurate documentation in the electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or CNA certification is preferred.
• Night shift schedule: 7pm–7:30am with every other weekend and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and monitor patient conditions as part of nursing care.
• Assist with activities of daily living and bedside care, including mobility and personal care.
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR while maintaining confidentiality.
• Follow infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
• Support RN supervision by providing hands-on care and helping implement care plans.
• Assist with CPR and emergency responses as needed.
