Job summary

Capital Resin Corp in Columbus, OH is seeking a Chemical Operator for night shift (7 PM – 7 AM) to help meet production schedules and participate in daily huddles for continuous improvement.

This 12-hour shift role requires monitoring batch processes, adjusting variables, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe, organized work area. Training may start on day shift until proficient.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 55 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or related field preferred.
• Candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 55 pounds.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitors batch while in process and make any adjustments as required.
• Measure and mix chemicals according to specified formulas.
• Monitor and adjust process variables such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
• Follows all provisions of operating instructions. Responsible for the completion and accuracy of all batch ticket data entry.
• Responsible for meeting standard batch ticket cycle times while maintaining safety and quality.
• Perform quality control checks on finished products and monitor output quality.
• Operates and monitors chemical processing equipment per SOPs.
• Stages raw materials and disposes of finished product, preserving location integrity.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; report equipment malfunctions or hazards.
