Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is hiring a Cheese Plant Operator (Nights) in Wisconsin. The role covers brine room operations, DMM/RMC and cooker control, sanitation, and safety compliance in a fast-paced cheese plant environment.

Starting rate is $27.56 per hour with a $1.50 shift premium for nights, plus potential increases within the first year. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, holidays, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must understand safety and quality guidelines and follow GMP practices.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and complete documentation.
• Basic math and computer skills for logging data and records.
• Must communicate effectively with team members and supervision.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate brine room equipment, monitor PLC, and CIP of Brine UF system.
• Assist DMM, verify cheese recipe, and record pH and salinity per guidelines.
• Manage cooker, salter, and RMC operations; ensure proper product transfer and weights.
• Perform sanitation duties, CIP, and sanitation verification; maintain clean work area.
• Follow safety protocols, report hazards, and support a safe working environment.
