Loma Linda University Health in Murrieta, CA seeks a Charge Nurse-Inpatient for the Med/Surg Unit (Night Shift). The role provides clinical supervision, coordinates daily operations, and ensures staffing and patient flow for optimal care.

You will lead licensed and unlicensed staff, uphold regulatory standards, and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence in patient outcomes through hands-on guidance and collaboration.

Qualifications

BSN required if hired after July 30, 2021; If hired prior, degree may be in progress with completion date three years from start of program.
Minimum of three years nursing experience in area of specialty in a facility with an equivalent patient acuity level.
Minimum of one year of prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
Active California RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical supervision of licensed and unlicensed staff during a shift.
Develop staffing schedules meeting ratios and coverage for nights and weekends.
Assign workloads based on staff competency, patient acuity, and productivity.
Ensure time and attendance accuracy and report to leadership.
Promote quality care and regulatory compliance; support patient flow and care delivery.
