Job summary

Babson College is seeking a Pool Maintenance technician to test, monitor and clean the college pool, ensuring safety and compliance with state rules. The role requires reliability in a team environment and adherence to documentation standards.

The position is Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, with backwashing, chemical handling, and routine deck maintenance. It offers union benefits and paid leave in compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Certified pool operator with knowledge of state pool operating rules.
• Ability to perform pool testing and document results accurately.
• Willingness to participate in safety training as required.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum pool at times that do not interfere with activities.
• Test four times daily and maintain records on proper forms.
• Backwash filters and monitor chemical feeding pumps.
• Shock and buffer treatment to the pool; remove lane dividers.
• Keep deck clean; ensure signage and safety kits are ready.
• Maintain records for state inspections and supply requests.
• Initiate work orders and assist in draining/filling as needed.
• Perform other custodial duties as assigned.
