Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a dedicated CNA for a full-time night shift to support patient care in an acute care unit. You will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, performing routine patient care and clerical duties to ensure smooth unit operations.

Responsibilities include patient admissions/discharges, room preparation, safety and privacy, and prompt reporting of changes in patient conditions. A high school diploma and valid CNA license along with BLS are required.

Qualifications

• CNA license in the state of employment is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Prior patient care experience in acute care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Perform routine patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Prepare rooms and maintain cleanliness of the unit.
• Transport stable patients safely as needed.
• Replenish supplies and respond to patient call lights promptly.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge.
