Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to select materials and proper packaging for instrument sets, ensuring aseptic technique and sterility indicators are in place. You will operate sterilization equipment, review charts, and perform additional duties as assigned in a hospital setting.

The role requires High School diploma (Technical/Vocational preferred), CRCST or CSPDT certification, and strong English communication. Night shift, full-time, Shawnee Mission facility.

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
• Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.
• Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use.
