Job summary

Interstate Waste Services, Inc. is seeking a Waste Collection CDL Driver to operate trucks for waste pickup from the Brooklyn Depot. This full-time, union position requires working overnight shifts with varying hours. Candidates must possess a valid CDL and demonstrate safe driving alongside compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid Class A or B CDL and a clean driving record.
• Experience as a Driver or Helper for a refuse company is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rear-loading truck for waste and recyclable material pickup.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with customers and Dispatchers.

Skills

Valid Class A or B CDL and clean driving record

At least 1 year experience operating a vehicle requiring CDL A or B

Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations

Ability to speak and read English
