Job summary

Duncan Oil Company in Tampa, FL is hiring a Tanker & HazMat Endorsement Driver - Class A CDL for a local night shift (3:00PM - 3:00AM). You will transport gasoline and distillates, inspect equipment, ensure DOT compliance, and maintain accurate logs and BOLs.

Qualifications

• CDL A with Tanker AND HazMat endorsements required.
• 2 years CDL Class A driving experience required.
• Experience in the Petroleum Industry is preferred.
• Satisfactory completion of DOT physical and drug screen required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person or in writing required.
• Tractor/trailer driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection of fuel delivery equipment before, during, and after operation inspection of tractor/trailer combination.
• Conduct inspection of fuel delivery equipment for serviceability.
• Conduct minor repairs of worn fuel delivery equipment.
• Ensure all unit and product documents are present and comply with current DOT and HAZMAT regulations.
• Safely operate a fuel delivery tractor/trailer combination.
• Adhere to fuel loading terminal operating instructions and emergency procedures.
• Safely operate a tractor/trailer combination complying with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations in an urban and rural environment and in all weather conditions.
• Comply with all terminal loading procedures.
• Determine before and after delivery tank measurements checking for water and other contamination.
• Adhere to company procedures for loading and unloading a fuel delivery unit.
• Employ customer service skills that are consistent with the company customer relations policy.
• Safely operate unit pump system to deliver fuel products into above-ground tanks.
• Operate the On-Board computer system effectively to maintain driver logs and trip information and prepare customer bills of lading (BOL).
• Accurately provide assessorial information onto BOL.
• Provide DOT with required information during inspections and stops.
• Conduct pump out of below or above-ground tanks.
