AdventHealth Denver is seeking a part-time night-shift patient care support to assist with patient care duties, vital signs, and daily activities. You will document measurements and glucose, position patients safely, and help with transport and meal service. You will support nurses and unit clerks, perform hourly rounds, respond to call lights, and maintain a clean, organized environment.

Strong communication and confidentiality are required. Hours: 7p–7a. Pay range: $19.77–$31.63 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn computer-related applications and EMR systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information per healthcare guidelines.
• Strong communication and patient service orientation.
• Ability to read medical terminology and document accurately.
• Basic computer skills expected.

Responsabilités

• Record pain rating, weight, height, intake and output, and finger-stick glucose.
• Position patients safely to protect skin integrity.
• Assist with ADLs, meals, nourishments, and bedside water.
• Attend hourly rounds and respond to call lights promptly.
• Report changes in vitals to appropriate staff.
• Maintain clean, organized environment and assist with supplies.
• Follow directions from RNs and managers.
• Support unit secretary with calls and directions.
• Transport items between departments and coordinate with teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Obtains and records pain rating, weight, height, intake and output, and finger stick blood glucose. Demonstrates efficiency with safety lights, turns, and positioning of patients to ensure correct body alignment and maintain skin integrity. Assists patients with ADLs, including passing meals, nourishments, and fresh water at bedside. Participates in hourly rounding and answers call lights in a timely manner. Reports changes in vital signs and patient status to appropriate staff. Maintains a clean, organized environment and helps with inventory of supplies and equipment. Follows directions of registered nurses, clinical coordinators, and managers. Supports the unit secretary by answering phones and directing patients and visitors. Delivers and picks up items from other departments and interacts with all ancillary departments. Completes other duties as assigned and proactively anticipates the needs of other team members. Other duties as assigned. Hours 7p-7a

Work Experience:

• 1+ medical terminology or unit clerk experience [Preferred]
• 12-lead EKG experience [Preferred]
• EMT or Paramedic experience [Preferred]
• Vacular Sheath pull training /experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required] OR
• EMT-Advanced (EMT-A) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
