Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, CO is seeking staff to support patient care and unit operations in a full-time role. Responsibilities include documenting vital signs, assisting with ADLs, and coordinating with nurses and other departments to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records pain rating, weight, height, intake/output, and finger stick blood glucose.
• Assists patients with ADLs, including meals, nourishment, and hydration at bedside.
• Performs hourly rounding and responds to call lights promptly.
• Maintains patient rooms, supports inventory and equipment checks.
• Documents accurately in electronic medical records per policy.
• Collaborates with nurses, coordinators, managers, and unit secretary.
• Delivers items between departments and greets patients and visitors.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Job Description:

• Obtains and records pain rating, weight, height, intake and output, and finger stick blood glucose.
• Demonstrates efficiency with safety lights, turns, and positioning of patients to ensure correct body alignment and maintain skin integrity.
• Assists patients with ADLs, including passing meals, nourishments, and fresh water at bedside.
• Participates in hourly rounding and answers call lights in a timely manner.
• Reports changes in vital signs and patient status to appropriate staff.
• Maintains a clean, organized environment and helps with inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Follows directions of registered nurses, clinical coordinators, and managers.
• Supports the unit secretary by answering phones and directing patients and visitors.
• Delivers and picks up items from other departments and interacts with all ancillary departments.
• Completes other duties as assigned and proactively anticipates the needs of other team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 12-lead EKG experience [Preferred]
