Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in the Medical Unit at UHS Delaware Valley Hospital. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, vital signs, and intake/output while supporting the RN and contributing to patient safety.

Night shift with 24 hours weekly, opportunity to contribute to positive patient experiences through teamwork, documentation, and bedside care under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Preferred: Vocational Diploma/Certificate in Nurse Aide studies.
• Preferred: NYSDOH Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential.
• Up to 1 year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs) under the direction of the RN to support comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration needs as directed by the RN to promote adequate intake.
• Record clinical data in the electronic health record (vital signs, weight, intake/output) and communicate changes to the RN.
• Support safe mobility, ambulation, positioning, and transfers to promote comfort and prevent complications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment and respond to call lights.
• Perform Unit Secretary and clerical duties as assigned to keep operations running smoothly.
