Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care facility
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing direct patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse within the scope of the CNA licensure
• Take and record vital signs; measuring and recording fluid intake/output
• Assist patient with personal care including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating and hydration
• Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
• Maintain unit supplies and document relevant patient care data
• May provide clerical support on the unit; order entry and chart processing
