Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a Monitor Tech for the Telemetry department in Lewiston, ME. This full-time night shift role involves monitoring cardiac rhythms, transcribing orders when needed, and supporting the nursing team in indirect patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a current dysrhythmia interpretation certificate, and BLS; CPR training may be required. Prior monitor tech experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
• Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribes physician orders in absence of CPOE/EMR documentation.
• Verifies that lab and radiology tests have been ordered and completed.
• Prepares patient charts and assists nursing staff with indirect care as needed.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate

BLS (AHA) certificate

Six months experience as Monitor Technician preferred
