Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Computer skills required, and will accompany on the job learning.
• Experience working in healthcare preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Continuous visual alertness without distraction of a computer screen containing 12-16 active patients
• Remain alert to 12-16 active patients at all times while on duty; anticipates, recognizes and addresses harmful behaviors
• Monitor patient behaviors and movements via closed circuit camera with pan/tilt/zoom capabilities
• Verbally redirect patients over digital 2-way audio device. Immediately alerts nursing staff as necessary
• Maintain calm, respectful, empathetic, and professional tone while verbally communicating with patients, staff, and fellow colleagues
• Meet the expectations of nursing staff in order to keep patients safe
• Provide detailed shift-to-shift report on patient activity to colleagues and nursing staff
