Mountain Empire Community College is seeking a full-time housekeeping staff member to maintain campus cleanliness and safety. The role requires overnight shifts and the ability to work around occupied spaces while maintaining discretion.

Hiring range is $29,353–$31,000 annually. This position is non-exempt and operates at MECC in Wise, VA. Apply with required documents; background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and the use of cleaning chemicals.
• Commercial cleaning experience in operating commercial floor care equipment.
• Accepts constructive feedback and implements direction in a positive and professional manner.
• W orks well independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks within established time frames and quality standards.
• Ability to work in occupied academic and office spaces while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
• Self-motivated and dependable with the ability to work independently during overnight hours with limited supervision.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility and ownership of assigned areas.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge and use of cleaning methods and chemicals.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a clean, safe MECC campus environment.
• May perform other duties as assigned, including emergency support.
• Work in a non-restricted, covered employee role in accordance with policy.
