Job summary

Southwire Company is seeking an Operator, Buncher 2 to join our production team. The role involves setting up and operating the Buncher to create multi-wire cable, verifying wire sizes and lay patterns, and handling bobbins and reels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate the Buncher.
• Ensure correct wire sizes, lengths and lays of multiwire cable.
• Load and unload bobbins and manage payoff and take-up reels.
• Maintain a layer wound package and perform required scrap handling.
• Follow quality checks per ISO procedures and report issues.
• Perform safety and housekeeping duties; undergo cross-training within the group.
