Goodyear is seeking a Brake Technician for the Night Shift in Blauvelt, NY. The role offers 9:00 PM–7:00 AM or 9:00 PM–6:00 AM shifts with a competitive hourly rate and a $1 shift differential.

As a brake technician, you will service delivery vans for preventative maintenance, perform oil changes and tire services, diagnose systems, and learn advanced repairs and state inspections in a professional shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; ASE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Servicing delivery vans for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site.
• Perform line technician services such as oil changes, tire services, diagnostics and brake repairs.
• Conduct fluid exchanges/flushes and basic preventive maintenance tasks.
• Learn or train to perform advanced repairs and state inspections.

About the Role

• Servicing delivery vans for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site
• Perform line technician services such as oil changes and tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, and tire installation
• Learn/train to do advanced repairs and state inspections
• Training for this role may take place in a customer retail environment prior to working on the client site

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance
• Valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• ASE Certification (s)
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests, electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience
