Job summary

The Wine Group in Acampo, California seeks an experienced Bottling Control Technician to maintain and troubleshoot automation, PLC, HMI, and electrical systems across our bottling facility. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and automation systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial controls.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell automation systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Manufacturing, food & beverage, or packaging industry experience preferred.
• Must be safety minded and committed to GMP standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, sensors, instrumentation, and industrial electrical systems.
• Support automation systems on bottling, packaging, conveying, labeling, filling, and processing equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on controls and automation systems to improve equipment reliability.
• Support production uptime by responding to electrical and automation breakdowns with urgency and effective troubleshooting.
• Modify and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programs as needed.
• Configure and troubleshoot communication networks including Ethernet/IP and industrial control networks.
• Support project work involving equipment upgrades, automation integration, and controls improvements.
• Assist in startup, commissioning, and validation of new or modified equipment.
• Maintain documentation for electrical systems, automation changes, and troubleshooting activities.
• Work with vendors and contractors to support repairs, upgrades, and parts sourcing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with GMP and food safety standards.
• Participate in weekly planning, maintenance, and production meetings.
