Job summary

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for night shift (7pm–7:30am). The BHT provides basic nursing care and assists in daily living activities under the supervision of an RN and Hospital Supervisor.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, some education in nursing/psychology or related fields, and may have EMT/CNA/Medical Assistant training. AZ fingerprint clearance and 21+ age are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Minimum two (2) years of education focused on nursing, psychology, social service, medicine or related field preferred.
• Completion of EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, Security training program or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Other requirements: Must be able to obtain AZ Fingerprint clearance card (Level one) and are at least 21 years of age during application of card.

Responsibilities

• The Behavioral Health Technician provides basic nursing care, aids with activities of daily living, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, under the direction and supervision of the Hospital Supervisor and the assigned RN to the unit.
