Job summary

The Behavioral Health Specialist at OhioGuidestone in Lancaster, OH works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Manager and provides case management services to children and families with mental health and substance use diagnoses. Services may be delivered via telehealth, outpatient offices, and community-based settings.

Shift: Friday, Saturday and Monday Nights 10pm-6am. This part-time, on-site role requires collaboration with the treatment team, crisis intervention when needed, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with ability to demonstrate basic behavioral health skills.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups and to document information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate OhioGuidestone values and ethics daily.
• Monitor client symptoms and response to treatment; communicate changes to the treatment team.
• Develop and maintain service relationships with clients, families and caregivers.
• Coordinate community resources to ensure continuity of care; advocate for the client.
• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies and assist in stabilization.
• Facilitate appointments addressing physical, mental health and substance use needs.
• Review evaluations and assessments to inform the ITP.
• Attend team meetings and trainings; complete required paperwork and reports.
