Miramont Behavioral Health in Middleton, Wisconsin is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I for night shift to join a multidisciplinary treatment team under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role focuses on monitoring patient behaviors, providing continuous care, and responding to crises while documenting accurately in patient records.

The position requires a high school diploma and CPR/De-escalation certification; six months or more experience with the population is preferred.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience with the population served preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure wellbeing and safety under supervision of charge nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Conduct safety checks and supervise per guidelines.
• Check for contraband and manage patient belongings.
• Interact with patients and report observations to the clinical team.
• Engage patients in activities to meet treatment goals.
• Facilitate educational groups on social and coping skills.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes promptly.
• Chart timely in patient records.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and assist with restraints if needed.
• Assist with unit cleaning, admissions/discharges, and reports.
• Coordinate patient transfers or transportation as required.
• Receive shift report and provide thorough handover to oncoming shift.
