Job summary

NGV Talent is hiring Autonomous Vehicle Operators in San Francisco for a full-time, 12-month temporary role during overnight hours. You will operate test vehicles in manual and autonomous modes, monitor systems, collect data, and provide feedback to engineering and operations teams.

No prior autonomous vehicle experience is required, but you must be safety-focused, follow procedures, and commit to the set overnight schedule. Benefits are available and you will work a structured overnight shift.

Qualifications

• Current valid California driver's license at time of application/interview.
• U.S. driver's license for at least 3 consecutive years with no gaps.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to complete a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Reliable work history with attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to commit to overnight schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate autonomous and manual test vehicles for up to 8 hours per day.
• Drive safely in diverse real-world traffic conditions.
• Monitor safety, navigation, and autonomous systems.
• Use proprietary software and equipment for testing and data collection.
• Provide detailed feedback on vehicle and system behavior.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with operations teams.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Perform basic vehicle upkeep and checks.
• Maintain documentation using laptops/tablets/smartphones and collaboration tools.
• Interact with engineers, leadership, and stakeholders.
