The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Experienced Diesel / Brake Technician (DOT Certified) at our Wethersfield, CT location. Earn $28.00–$35.00 per hour based on experience, plus a sign-on bonus.

Walk-in interviews encouraged at 1020 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield, CT 06109-4231. Responsibilities include servicing delivery vans and DOT vehicles, performing oil changes, tire services, inspections, diagnostics and brake repairs, plus advanced vehicle maintenance and state inspections.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience performing DOT inspections and brake-related services.
• DOT Brake Certification required or must obtain within 30 days.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT physical, must be 21+.

• Servicing delivery vans and DOT vehicles for scheduled maintenance at client sites.
• Perform oil changes, tire services, inspections, diagnostics, brake repairs and fluid exchanges.
• Advanced repairs and state inspections.
• Training may occur in a customer retail environment before site work.

4 Day work week option 9PM- 7AM

5 Day work week option 9PM - 6AM

Starting pay for the market: $28.00 - $35.00/hr W ith a $1 Shift Differential + Sign-On Bonus

About the Role: What will you do?

• Servicing delivery vans and DOT vehicles for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site

• Perform line technician services such as oil changes and tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, and tire installation

• Advanced repairs and state inspections

• Training for this role may take place in a customer retail environment prior to working on the client site

Basic Requirements

• 2 years of experience performing qualified DOT regulated inspections, preventative maintenance, and brake related services

• Must have DOT Brake Certification, or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire

• Must have a valid driver's license and meet DOT physical requirements, including being at least 21 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• ASE Certification (s)

• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests, electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience
