Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking an Assembly/Operator Associate to join ORBIS in Mentor, Ohio. You will assemble reusable packaging interiors, read prints, and use hand tools to meet safety, quality, and delivery standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read print drawings and use a tape measure accurately.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in assembly manufacturing and/or as a machine operator.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to print drawings and work instructions.
• Insert completed assemblies into plastic containers.
• Perform self and peer quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
• Immediately report safety concerns or quality issues to the Cell Lead, Set-Up Technician, or Supervisor.
• Rotate between different work cells and machines as needed during the shift.
• Verify correct parts and materials against work orders prior to assembly.
• Calculate cycle time (takt time) to support production requirements.
• Safely and effectively use basic hand tools, including rivet gun, handheld sonic welder, hot air welder, glue gun and glue line, and manual hot wire bender.
• Develop operational knowledge of additional equipment, including baler, drill press, and band saw.
• Complete required training including print drawing and tape measure training and the 17–21 day training program.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork and follow safety procedures with PPE.
