Job summary

Astemo Ltd. is hiring an Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team in a plant environment. The role entails following instructions, inspecting parts, and supporting changeovers while maintaining clean, safe work practices.

Typical duties include data entry for quality and production records, adherence to 5S, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams to meet production targets and standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred, especially in assembly or high-speed equipment operation.
• Ability to work in a team to meet production goals (cycle time, takt time, scrap rates).
• Sufficient reading/writing ability to follow work orders and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Follow operator instruction sheets or verbal instructions to perform operations.
• Check product dimensions using indicators and gauges per procedures.
• Change simple parts and fixtures to support product type changeovers.
• Visually and manually inspect for defects in product or workmanship.
• Input data daily to maintain charts and reports for manufacturing, engineering, quality, and sales.
