Job summary

Central Steel & Wire, part of the Ryerson Family of Companies, seeks an Area Lead to supervise the warehouse team and assist the third shift Supervisor in achieving production goals.

The role is on the third shift, Monday to Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. You will operate material handling equipment, train staff, and lead safety and production huddles while addressing equipment breakdowns as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a related role.
• Experience operating equipment and recognizing materials in a service center.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-changing environment.
• Willingness to learn SAP as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized material handling equipment (overhead crane, side loader, forklift).
• Lead in short-handed periods and during high demand to support production goals.
• Train staff and develop team members; coach and mentor.
