Abbott in Tipp City, Ohio is seeking an Analytical Chemist Laboratory Supervisor for the night shift to oversee a multi-shift lab operation dedicated to quality and compliance. The role requires leading a team, ensuring KPI delivery, and maintaining a safe, compliant environment in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

You will manage staffing, training, performance reviews, and CAPA activities while coordinating with management to meet budget and cost-improvement goals across the shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4+ years of professional lab experience.
• Experience in people leadership, operational execution, or quality/safety oversight.
• Ability to work on an on-site night shift and alternating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a single shift of a multi-shift laboratory operation open 7 days a week.
• Coordinate shift team to meet KPI across EHS, Quality, Finance, Productivity and People.
• Lead efforts to deliver quality and compliance performance for the shift.
• Initiate and decide on actions affecting product quality.
• Develop line personnel through staffing, training, mentoring, and performance reviews.
• Maintain a safe lab environment.
• Ensure test results meet plant, division, and corporate guidelines.
