Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the MICU team at the University of Maryland Medical Center. This night-shift position involves rotating weekends and holidays, patient assessment, and collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Maryland licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.
• National certification as Acute Care NP or NCCPA certification.
• DEA and CDS eligibility for practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of one year of critical care or related clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat critically ill patients in MICU.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Participate in rounds, discharge planning, and care coordination.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
