Job summary

Kobelco Aluminum Products & Extrusions Inc. seeks a Production Supervisor for the 7 pm to 7 am night shift. The role oversees the production department, ensuring efficient setup and operation of extrusion machines and adherence to quality systems. Training staff and enforcing safety rules are essential components.

The incumbent will implement QA systems, conduct audits, and drive Kaizen/5S initiatives while managing production within cost and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years supervisory experience in manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality systems and safety regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of the production department in setting up and operation of production machines in the production of aluminum extrusion parts.
• Develops and implements quality systems (QS9000 and TS16949) and conducts audits.
• Trains workers by explaining and demonstrating work methods and techniques in accordance with quality systems.
• Schedules production within specified cost and quality standards.
• Observes OSHA and Company rules and regulations concerning personal safety and enforces company policies.
• Responsible for Kaizen and 5S initiatives.
