Job summary

The State of Indiana is hiring a Part-Time Security Specialist for 3rd shift at the Indianapolis location. You will help maintain a safe environment for employees, visitors, collections, and facilities by patrolling, monitoring cameras, and handling security systems overnight.

Responsibilities include reporting, responding to incidents, coordinating with security leadership, and assisting contractors as needed. Some weekend/holiday adjustments may apply, with a schedule described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Reliability and dependability in overnight coverage.
• Situational awareness and sound judgment for security events.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine interior and exterior security patrols.
• Monitor surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security-related incidents.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports.
• Coordinate with Shift Lead and Security Management.
• Support after-hours contractors and authorized personnel.
