Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard full-time unarmed in New York, NY. You will protect client sites across government and commercial environments, delivering professional service and maintaining a visible security presence.

You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in accordance with site procedures. A NY Security Guard license and 1+ year of experience are required, with background checks and drug screening as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Minimum of 1 year security-related experience.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building interiors, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when required.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate clearly with site representatives, supervisors, and responding agencies.
