Job summary

Goodwin Living is seeking a Security Officer to perform security and surveillance duties at Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads. Responsibilities include monitoring security stations, enforcing policies, and assisting with emergency responses.

The pay is $22/hr with on‑call coverage for 12am-8am and 4pm-12am shifts. Qualifications include prior security experience, knowledge of security practices, and the ability to operate security systems.

Qualifications

• Previous Security experience required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of standard security practices.
• Demonstrated ability to operate telephone and surveillance systems.
• Demonstrated ability/technique for sound decision making in emergency situations.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills for observation and documentation of incidents / investigations.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring of security stations, operating and maintaining security equipment.
• Provision of security services through enforcement of Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads policies and procedures.
• Tasks to be completed by Security Officer.
• Provide security services as directed for special events, including traffic and parking management.
• Assist in delivering / escorting emergency vehicles to building entrance when needed.
• Understand the Fire System and perform reset, report troubles, and restore/secure pull stations.
• Provide emergency services on weekends and holidays, patrol the interior and secure perimeter, and keep records.
