City of Hope is seeking a security professional for the night shift (10pm–6:30am) with weekend availability. The role protects patients, staff, and visitors, patrols premises, and responds to emergencies, while maintaining logs and coordinating with leadership.

You will secure offices, monitor parking, and assist with transportation of barriers. A CA driver’s license, guard registration, pepper spray permit, and CPR within 3 months are required; hospital security experience is a plus.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of security experience; related fields (criminal justice, armed forces, law enforcement) preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Guard registration, pepper spray permit, and CPR within 3 months of hire.
• Hospital security experience preferred; Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

Mansioni

• Patrol City of Hope buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and intruders.
• Secure and unlock offices and facilities; escort staff as needed.
• Monitor parking lots, manage traffic flow, and assist with barrier movement.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in business continuity exercises.
• Document incidents, prepare reports, and coordinate with Security Leadership.
• Use two-way radio communications to stay in contact.
