Job summary

ProGuard Security Services is seeking a Security Officer for commercial buildings in California. The role requires vigilance to prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.

Officers will monitor premises, respond to incidents, and uphold safety protocols to protect tenants, visitors, and staff. The position supports both part-time and full-time arrangements with swing and grave shifts, including Sun-Mon and Tue-Sat rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid security officer license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the commercial building and surrounding areas to detect and deter suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems to identify potential security threats or breaches.
• Control access points by verifying credentials and managing visitor logs to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and irregularities such as property damage or theft.
• Enforce building rules and regulations to maintain order and safety for all occupants.
• Provide assistance and directions to tenants and visitors while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
