Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a full-time security officer at a logistics and distribution site in New York. You will protect people and property by following site procedures and responding to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns.

Responsibilities include patrolling premises, monitoring entry points, and documenting observations and incidents. Must hold NYS Security Guard License, be 18+ (21+ for armed), and pass required background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading docks, trailer areas, parking lots, buildings perimeters, and other areas.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry for personnel and visitors, and manage driver check-in and deliveries.
• Document observations and incidents in accordance with reporting procedures.
