Description

We are looking for a highly engaging, safety, and customer focused individual to join our team as Night Security/Auditor. The candidate for this role is responsible, detailed-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, and responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team. The ideal candidate uses their engaging personality to create a memorable first impression for our guests and is committed to providing a warm and safe experience for our guests—even in the quiet hours. While checking in, registering guests, the Night Security/Auditor is a source of knowledge for the guest for everything about the hotel, its amenities, and the local area.

This key dual role is crucial to maintaining the safety and security of guests, employees, and the property during the overnight hours while also ensuring the accuracy and completeness of daily financial records and guest accounts. This includes supporting other department activities to help assure the highest levels of guest and employee service. Your Role:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest
  • Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
  • Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
  • Help to resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when things aren’t quite right
  • Promote and sell special hotel programs.
  • Interact with hotel staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
  • Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.
  • Review and reconcile daily financial transactions for the front desk, food and beverage outlets, and other revenue centers.
  • Prepare and distribute end of day reports according to hotel policy
  • Carry out the safety policies and procedures of the property and Benchmark, while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per standards of service.
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for guests and associates.

Conduct routine walkthroughs of the hotel premises (interior and exterior).

Address any irregularities and unauthorized, or suspicious activity.

Ensure all doors, windows, and entrances are secured.

Respond to guest concerns, emergencies, or disturbances calmly and professionally.

Work closely with law enforcement or emergency responders when required.

Document any incidents in a nightly security report.

  • Promote and preserve the peace on premises to assure a comfortable and non-threatening environment for guests and employees.
  • Ensure the Night Audit procedures are followed with great attention to detail
  • Communicate all pertinent information to manager on duty.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior hospitality experience and security required.
  • Strong sense of responsiblity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay alert and work independently during overnight hours.
  • Enjoys making positive, meaningful connections with others
  • Neat, clean, and well groomed apprearance with pleasant personality
  • Time management and organizationals skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to stand and walk for an extended period
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and tact.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
  • Must be available to work overnights shifts weekends and holidays.
