Smart Foodservice Stores in Charlotte, NC is seeking Night Sanitation Workers to keep our warehouse and related facilities clean and well-maintained. You will perform sanitation tasks across the distribution center, with emphasis on safety and accuracy, contributing to a reliable operation. Starting pay is $20.54 per hour, with overtime potential.

Schedule is Sunday-Thursday 6PM until finish. Experience in custodial or sanitation is preferred; high school diploma or GED is desirable; English

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• High School education or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial and/or sanitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and cleans the entire warehouse to maintain the required level of cleanliness.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Cleans spills or breakages and manages damaged product per food safety requirements.
• Performs light maintenance duties (bulbs, recyclables, etc.) and tracks maintenance supplies.
• Prepares reports to document cleaning schedules, spillages, and product damage; may order supplies.
• Maintains facility grounds and dumpster areas; operates scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift if required.
