Job summary

US Foods is hiring a sanitation worker for the night shift to clean and maintain the division warehouse and related property. You will contribute to safety and cleanliness, enabling smooth operations across the facility.

The role offers a starting pay of $20.68 per hour with a night schedule Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM, and benefits starting day one including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED preferred.
• Related experience in custodial or sanitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean the entire warehouse to maintain cleanliness.
• Empty trash bins and clean trash area daily; operate trash compactor when applicable.
• Pull pallets and clean/scrub product bays on a rotating basis.
• Clean spills and manage damaged product following food safety rules.
• Perform light maintenance tasks (bulb replacement, recycling duties, etc.).
• Maintain facility grounds and operate scrubber, pallet jack, or high lift as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Education/Training

• High School education or GED preferred.
• Related Experience
• Previous custodial and/or sanitation experience preferred.

MAIN INGREDIENTS

• Sweeps and cleans the entire warehouse to maintain the required level of cleanliness.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Cleans and up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoups damage and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.
• Performs light maintenance duties as assigned (i.e., replacement of light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, paper and shrink wrap collection pickup, checking freezer and cooler for leaks or ice buildup, etc.)
• Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedules, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.
• May clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, rest rooms, test kitchens, offices, etc.
• Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.
• Operates scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift if required to perform duties.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $20.68/hr - $22.68/hr.
